Default Buildsheet/gas tank

Any ideas why a 69 chevelle w original gas tank and buildsheet from Framingham plant, would have 2 vents[2 nipples w 2 hoses that dead end ]. One is large[appears 7/16 and the other 5/16 ish]. Almost looks like a 70 chevelle california w charcoal cannister setup.

Would it be the same as a 325 hp 69 camaro with a fuel return line from the filter ?

My 23K mile original 69 Chevelle from the KC plant has exactly the same setup....no evidence of ever having the white plastic vent thingy in the end of those two hoses, which some 'experts' claim each and every 69 Chevelle should have.

My 69 L78 Chevelle had the same vent tube. They finally reproduced the correct vent a few years ago. There is a member on this site that had several original one's when I restored my Chevelle, I am sure he can add a picture.

I don't recall what the lines on my L78's fuel tank looked like. If I get a chance I will crawl underneath and take a look.

I'd like to see the buildsheets though. Mine were all cut and/or partials.

Pretty sure my COPO has the same vent tube. Will look this weekend to confirm.
