Looking like my wife and I are going to get the opportunity to move to Arizona this Fall. We currently live in Ohio, but have been coming to AZ at least once a year for the last 6 years or so.
We really love the areas north of Scottsdale (Cave Creek, Desert Hills, New River) and are looking for homes with RV garages (for cars obviously

) and many of the homes we like on our price range are on what looks like dirt/cinder roads.
We've spent time looking at homes in the Rio Verde area and those "dirt" roads are really rough. Some the of the nicer non-paved roads in the Desert Hills and New River don't seem so bad. Some of the real estate pictures of nice cars in the garages don't look filthy (even the tire treads look clean?).
I guess my question is, do you guys all live in town on paved only roads? We would really like to have some land (an acre at least). Should we avoid even a short dirt road if I want to have nice cars?
Appreciate any feedback.
Joe
