Default MUNCIE DATE STAMP

I PICKED UP A 1969 M22 TODAY AND THE DATE CODE STAMPED ON THE SIDE OF THE CASE LOOKS LIKE IT WAS DDOUBLE STAMPED HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN THIS DONE ?

i have seen muncies with the vin stamped 3 times they finally got it right .... monday morning

My 74 z Muncioe was mis stamped but XX'd out. Had a 67 Camaro with 3 VIN stamps

Common problem with vin stamps. I have seen 2, 3, and even 4 vin stamps on a main case.

Jonesy's case is pretty cool as it was stamped with a over the counter stamping (CC3 along with the service number assigned to the case) being that the 74 is the last year using a Muncie transmission. Probably were running short on cases at the Muncie plant for production. Don't really see too many 74 dated muncies.
Getting back to the original poster, I haven't seen too many double stamped date codes, but lots of double or more stampings of the vin as has been brought up already. Any pics of the stamping you can post?

That's not right.
The stamps don't line up. The 9 is not between the P and B of either stamp. Meaning it wasn't done with a factory gangstamp.

RESTAMP Muncie date code never used flat top "3"s , and the font and spacing looks odd...
