4,000-dollar headers! Put them on eBay! 14" wheels are a nice touch.

So gm couldn't install the headers on the car at the factory due to emissions ,so they threw them in the trunk with Bill Thomas stickers on them ??

Protecto plate looks correct but window sticker looks reproduction.

Yep Barry, window sticker definitely not original.

$5,000 headers. Which I can attest to being worth that if not more.

Bill Thomas worked very close with GM/Chevrolet as an R&D engineer.
Chevy was to help market his Bill Thomas Cheetahs......and they made a prototype coupe which Chevrolet Skunked engineering for.
All Bill Thomas Engines started as CE Crate combos as blocks, Partials or complete.

Bill Thomas Headers and KUSTOM were the exclusive suppliers for Chevrolet....... where they made various design 302 race headers which when factory ordered did come in the trunk for customer/dealer installation, just as the Cowl Plenum Air Cleaners.
Did these Headers come from the Factory in the trunk ? I think not......more likely supplied by Nickey Parts Dept .......purchased from B T R C.
Maybe Stefano or someone more knowledgeable with NICKEY will chime in.

Badass Car Regardless.....

That protecto plate and warranty book look way too new to me...

Love to hear the official Nickey side of the story..

Without going into detail. Wrong shifter, fan shroud, heater box and too early to be bb. Therefore if pop shows bb then yes it is fake. Seeing how he mentioned he bought 7 years ago he may have been dooped by previous owner.

I had that thought too--that he loves his car and believes the story he was told.
