Default Robert's 1969 L78 Chevelle

I was fortunate to find this '69 Chevelle in 1985 and before the privacy restrictions, was able to get a complete title history on it. After contacting previous owners I found this car had seen action on area tracks and was well known to local racers.

From the factory it came with Tinted Glass, Bucket Seats, Console, Sport Striping, Positraction, 4.10 Ratio, 375hp Engine, Close Ratio 4 Speed, Chambered Exhaust, Special Instrumentation, SS396 Equipment and Garnet Red Paint. The dealer installed an AM radio.

The original JD coded engine is still with it and I have tried to keep everything on the car factory correct except for the Cragar SS wheels and Hurst shifter. The 4.10 gears are great for in-town driving.

One of the owners later came up with original documents and pictures that were given to me. I've heard many racing stories over the years, but will let the pictures tell the story here.

Great stuff Robert. The history is amazing. I would love to see this car in that "mild" Day-2 trim like the pictures above. I bet this car did not get much use with the smog and a few other things this car had originally. Car had a great personality on the street and drag strip.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I feel lucky to own such a car. I know it's not on the same level as all the Super Cars here, but it's special to me.
