Default A Day at the Salvage Yard

Is there anything better than a stroll through an old salvage yard with old iron? It is truly therapeutic.A couple of days ago, a buddy and I did just this. Upon rumors of a couple of 69s in a yard, one a Z, we just had to go and find out for ourselves. Sit back and enjoy. the security system involves briars and grapevine, and there was plenty of security. Both Camaros were perched on top of other vehicles. ENJOY!

When I was young my father and I would get up early go have breakfast and either cruise the back country roads looking for old iron or hit the salvage yards to see the cool old iron. Good Times! Thanks for posting

Default Days past

In the early 70's junk yards in my area sold engines at one dollar a horsepower. A 69 Z engine-$290.00, Hemi's were $425.00. Nowadays Most yards in my area will not let you go back and look around.

Hey, hello there brother Sammy! Sorry I haven’t kept up with you. I need to send a picture of a couple of new dogs we got over the summer. Did I get anything? Well, besides a sore back, hurting shoulder tugging on rusted bolts, debris in my hair and eyes, thousands of sticker bush barbs... no, had a great time. I was hoping the blue car was a COPO, alas, I struck out. Did get the dual exhaust hangers off the blue car. My buddy and I are going back to buy the cowl, dash pod, drive shaft tunnel. All I want is the clutch safety switch

Take care my friend.
