I know you're probably looking for something else, but I've used uship.com several times with great results, and you can weed through any carriers that don't appeal to you for some reason or other. Transporting a non-running vehicle isn't done by everyone, so your options might be limited.
Can't wait to see the next project.

Here's another thought. A guy purchase a 1939 Willys coupe from me. He lives in the Seattle area. He flew into Tucson. Rented a Ryder box truck & took it home himself. He had to use a flatbed tow service twice. Once to put it in the truck & the other to remove it.
I've used Reliable for inop cars in the past myself. I know you didn't want to use the 18 wheelers but you might get a quote for comparison...Joe

Where is the car going from and to? There are a couple guys on the Pontiac forum that haul cars and parts throughout the country.

If it needs to be moved fast from the seller for safety issues. You could call a local rollback to pick it up and move to there tow yard or arrange for a self storage garage close to the seller.

I've done this before and just kept it at a local self storage unit for a couple of months until I was ready to have it transported to final destination. Worked great.

Oh, it's not a safety thing or anything like that. It's a "one car leaves and I need room for the new one" type of thing. As a courtesy to him, I'd want the car out of his garage and into mine ASAP. Plus, I can start the next build thread sooner than later!
