Default How can I day2 my 67 chevelle?

Looking to the experts. I love the day 2 look and want to day 2 my chevelle. Its not a real SS so I can do what I want on it. I just bought a set of M/T finned valve covers. I want to get a set of cragar front runners and possibly Lakewood traction bars and front tow tabs. What else would the experts suggest?

Thinking of painting the headers red to match the black and red theme? Would that be period?

That's a good looking car. I'm no expert, but the distributor, plug wires and alternator don't fit in with day 2 stuff. I'd change them. I can't tell what intake and carburetor you have on it.

I have a HEI ignition on it now. Intake is a Edelbrock Performer intake w/ a holley 770 street avenger (per the suggestion of the dyno shop)

These are just my opinions, I think you have an awesome car to start with.
1. White headers
2. Yellow spark plug wires.
3. Different gauges, something with an older look
4. Hurst autostick or dual gate
5. Hi-jacker air shocks
6. Ladder bars
7. Tow bar tabs
8. 15x6 front Cragars.
9. MT valve covers (you said you have those)
10. Chrome end cover.

This would be a great start, and would really bring a bad ass look to the car.

Please keep us posted with pictures if you do this.

Awesome! Thank you! I plan on restoring the m/t covers black with polished fins. I'd like to paint asset of Tow Tabs and Ladder bars red along with the header pipes. Would that be in the period correct style or do the headers have to be white and the other stuff yellow?

The car has air shocks on it currently they are orange in color and need to be repainted but work great. No labels on them so I don't know what brand
