Default Rolling Meadows Cruise

This past friday nite I went to the old cruise spot in Rolling Meadows and found that it had moved. It is no longer in the parking lot by Sears hardware. It has moved down the street to the Dominick's parking lot.
Does any one know the details?

Bill

Does anyone remember Tero Corvette of Rolling Meadows. They were the sponsor of my 1964 Corvette that ran all over the midwest in the late 60's and early 70's. I think the owner was Dave West. I am not sure of the first name but his last name was West. He also sponsored some cars that set records at Bonneville.

Bob, the new parking lot is not any better. I hope they come up with something else.

Tim, I believe that Roy Cumnic was his partner. I believe that Roy ran CanAm cars. My Uncle had his 66 Vette built by Tero. See attached.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, Roy was the builder of the engine that went into the car after the engine was used at Bonneville. Was the car in the picture used at Bonneville, I have a picture of similar car from a 1965 Road and Track issue sponsored by Tero.

Tim, not sure about the car being at Bonneville. I will ask.
Also, if you could scan that photo from the 65 Road & Track I would love to see it.

I checked the issue and it is from 1963 Road and Track and a 63 Corvette at Bonneville. Sorry for the false alarm, thanks for the information.

Looks like Meadows is back. It has moved to the Dominicks and I was told that the local store owners have paid to cover the liability insurance for the parking lot. I was told that 100 cars showed up tonite and that the lot has enough room for 250 to 300 cars plus customer parking. If the weather is good I will be heading that way next weekend.

Hope to see some of you guys out there.

Bill
