I'm going to look at a possiable Yenko Nova.Guy that told me about it knows nothing about cars except this is his dad's car.Dad has passed. He says it's a Yenko Nova at least he thinks it is.I don't know much about these cars.I only know about the 7 or 9 427 cars and the LT-1 small block cars.Did Yenko make any other Novas.I guess I need to know what to look for.I'll check back tomorrow

Yenko only made the 427 Novas in '69 and had GM build him the LT1 Novas in '70 under a double COPO. To my knowledge none of Yenko's other plans to build specialty Novas ever panned out.
What color is this car? I have been looking for a Yenko Nova in Georgia for a while.

May have been a few SS 396 Yenko Novas sold (1969).
Yenko also road raced a Nova mid to late 70s but this was a race car. |

Yenko Chevrolet sold lots of Novas from 1962 until they closed.Very few are supercars. Most left the lot with a Yenko badge or some dealer id.A link to Yenko would probably add some value to any SS car.Earl

This car is supposed to be green. Not sure what code.It is a 1970 so I guess that rules out a 427.Car is in a little town named Guyton Ga.about 30 miles or so out of Savannah.Like I said the guys son knows nothing about cars but was real sure it was a Yenko. He said he remembers that because it was a strange name.I'm going to go look at it sat.My luck it will be nothing, but it's worth checking into.He said his mother will sell it just to get it out of the out building. When you go look at the car make sure to get the VIN and information on the cowl tag. This info will help determine if it is a genuine Yenko Deuce. Good luck!

The car I've been looking for is a Sunflower Yellow 4speed car, I have been unsucessfull. I show two cars going to Georgia, the norm is either 3 cars to one dealer or 3 cars to a state that is pretty far away and they can be delivered together. I'm assuming that was the case with Georgia & Alabama, I show two cars going to each state (none are green though, all shipped on 8/20/70) and the truck would hold 6 cars. So, my theory is that there were approx. two additional cars that went to that general area that I don't have records for. Georgia got a Sun Yellow car (not found), and a Huggar Orange car (found in Alabama 2years ago). Alabama got a Cortez Silver car (reportedly wrecked by the original owner), and a Cran Red car (became a Salvage Title car in '73, the bahr bro's have paperwork on this one too).
What I'm hoping is that this car turns out to be one of the two unknown cars that may have been shipped to that area, or it is the silver or yellow car repainted green. It would be a big stretch for it to be the red one. Here's hoping

What range of build dates were there for 70 Yenko Deuces? If it's outside that range it would be easier to rule it out than to try to verify it, wouldn't it? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/
