Default Old prostockers

Everybody knows that I have a keen interest in the early years of prostock racing. Here is something I figured I would throw out there.how many of these old cars are left from back in the day?If anybody has some online info pertaining to some of the cars from say the 1970 thru 1980 period, lets see it.I think it would be interesting to see if some of these cars have turned up.These cars have semed to all but vanish, but I bet there are still a few remains of them floating around out there.

I wondered what happened to that ar.Is that the same car that he started out with as a 1970 camaro and then updated over the years?I know he had a camaro with rubber bumpers{78 and up style} with a flat back 70 style window.I have heard this is the car that he made thousands of passes on.If so,it was truly a piece of history.I guess the car didnt survive the crash.I havent seen any signs of it in years.I know that back then things were a lot like today.A good prostocker became a good M/P car,and then a good bracket car and then it vanished into obsurity or was wrecked. The same holds true today.I guess we have to settle for having the pictures.

I love the pro-stock cars, especially the ones from back in the day when they weren't the cookie cutter cars of today. Keep it going, fellas!

Bruno Donati living in Sweden bought this Sox&Martin built car in the early seventies. Engine was built by Speedwin in New York.
It later caught fire at Santa Pod, England, and was destroyed.

I think Mike Guarise has Jenkins 1970 car he is restoring. Jerry MacNeish has Stricklers 1968 camaro that was a Pro Stocker before Jerry got it. A friend of mine in Lititz, Pa.has Jenkins 1980 or so Monza. Grumps 1975 vega I think is still owned by Paul Thimm of West Chester, Pa. S/G car? Doesn't Kim Howie have a Dickie harrell sponsored Pro car he restored? Ken Montgomery of Jenkintown, Pa. still has his original 1969 Hemi cuda that saw time in Pro Stock in the old days. All original lettering still on the car. I think some of Brooklyn Heavey's car are over seas also. Keep up the good work! Sam

Here is a Don Hardy built car. It was practically new when it came here in -76.
It rolled after a 8.90 pass, but was repaired in a couple of weeks. It was later shipped back to the US and was raced on the east coast by Lars Flodhman. It flipped once again and was now beyond repair.
