Default Yenko demo car

I was visiting with Ed Hedrick last night about SCR7, and I got to quizzing him about the article in SS&DI where he drove the demo car for the article. I knew the article mentioned that the clutch was going south, and he said that was an understatement, as the editor of the magazine was during huge burnouts with the car until he was told to stop. Everyone was afraid he would ruin the clutch, which would be a serious problem, as the car had been driven to the track.

What I did not know was just how bad the demo had been abused. The engine in the car had stuck a piston sometime before the test, and only that hole had been repaired. Ed and I both agrred, that as good as the results were that day, they would have been even more impressive had the car had a fresh clutch and engine.
