I have just recieved the first Danbury Mint 1/24th scale Yenko Camaros. The Danbury mint was at Super Car Workshop last year taking pictures and taking notes for their new deicast Yenko. A few months ago I recieved the first prototypes on a Yenko and a COPO Camaro we worked with them on. We recomended a number of changes and the finished car is simply amazing. If you are a diecst fan, this is the best I have seen. The first issue is a Hugger Orange/Black stripe X66. I will post pictures soon. The detail is fantastic, from the Yenko plate frame,to the antenna that goes up and down. It should be a big seller. Future plans call for other Yenko colors and a new COPO release...BKH

Great news! Danbury does a very good job as well as having some of the best detail. Glad to hear you were associated with the project and I look forward to getting some of these.

I have one of these on order. As soon as I seen it come in the mail I new that I had to have one of these. I have several Danbury Mint cars and they look great I can only wait to get this one in my hands. What even makes it better is that they went to the guys at SCW to get it perfect. I'm looking forward to seeing the up coming Yenko colors that they are going to offer along with the COPO's. This is indeed great news. Hopefully they will try and do a few of the other Supercars in the near future (Motion, DANA, Nickey, Dick Harrell etc).

Oh Very cool!
Why is there a chin spoiler but no rear spoiler on that COPO? Am I seeing things? Are those BPT codes on the firewall?

That is pretty cool. They did a nice job on the '69 tooling.
Wanna see something really scary? Does anyone here have one of the Revell 'Creative Masters' yellow Z-28 prototypes from '89? I saw one of these go for over $2K on ebay in 1999. ![]() ![]()

I saw one of these go for over $2K on ebay in 1999. ![]() The original Creative Masters die-cast cars ( Z/28 in this example ) were unparalleled for detail & quality. Nobody did die-cast like those guys. Sadly, that company went out of business. I believe Revell bought the rights to the tooling, but I may be wrong on that. I was in one of those bidding wars on a 69 CM Z/28 die-cast on eBay in the past. Wish I had stayed in it ! They are like hens teeth now. Wonder if someone would trade me my 69 CX coded THM400 for a Creative Masters '69 Z/28. What am I saying? ![]() Steve
