Check out the February 05 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines.
They wrote a nice article on that "Plain Brown Wrapper" we all hear wins at the PSMCDR most every time.
That Amazing built R3 gets 365HP @ 5,895 RPM @ the rear wheels,with a 12.71 best ET. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

I thought that car was a built car, not an original supercharged Stude. I thought the owner found all the parts and built it just like the factory did. Regardless, that thing runs pretty strong!

Supercharger's are a very effective way to get lots of power. I have a Jackson racing unit on another car that I have. Old timers used to talk about how fast the old Stude Hawk's were.

Overall the Studes were not real pretty huh... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Gotta love a car that can win 17 of 20 races in a best of three shootout http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

At least they didn't name the driver of the Yellow Yenko Camaro who has seen Stude tailpipe before............

Who rattled you cage, Brass? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Surprised you felt like typing after the big binge weekend at Casey's! LOL!!

I've been on the wrong end of that Stude before, that's for sure, but I got revenge during our match-up on My Classic Car!

BTW: our Y-Camaro pulled 416rwhp right after the Stude did it's 356...

I learned Saturday never trust a Canadian carrying 'domestic beer'.......

A great time was had by all, but I am not sure the wife believes I was standing is a garage with 40 other racers BS's till 2am .....

BWT: Didn't his blower belt fall off during that MCC race, too ??

A Canuck drinking a domestic beer? Had to be JJ and his Budweiser! Pete usually sticks with his Labatt as long as possibly, but JJ ain't afraid to jump into the Budweiser from the get go!

Something happened on 1 run with the Stude, but they ran their quickest pass ever 1 of those runs next to me, so it couldn't have been anything *too* major... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

I wondered if this was the same Stude that I saw on t.v. How many times have you run against it? What is the overall record?

I am just havin' a little fun with ya........

Are you and Casey going wear your "I Beat the Plain Brown Wrapper" T-Shirts to the next Pure Stocks ???

Hadn't thought about the shirts, Donny! That would be hilarious!

Phil: I have no idea how many times I've ran the Plain Brown Wrapper...probably 15-20? Up until a couple years ago we probably split the wins/losses 50-50, but since our MCC matchup I've seemingly had his number...now he's Casey's problem! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

actually, and I hate to admit this, but the original thought bubble on that one was to sell shirts with a picture of Casey's car on the front and "I slept with the man who beat the Plain Brown Wrapper" in bold letters on the back........ http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Wow...that looks *surprisingly* close to the stock R3 setup, minus the extra huffer, of course. Dual skinny belts, SN-60, the carb box...it all looks familiar! What's that thing go?
