I do not believe there is a debate any longer. There was never any mentioned of PONTIAC on there literature or cars! Therefore there is no reason for them to be considered a PONTIAC. Agree, I would call a Beaumont a Pontiac even though the evidence proves they are????? A General Motors Beaumont?

I grew up w/ them and as much as they were referred to as Ponchos, I vote <span style="font-weight: bold">not </span>Pontiac being they were never marketed or badged buy GM as such.
Titles bearing Poncho doesn't count as proof since those were created @ whim by Provincial licensing office ladies...later 1000 series Acadian Chevettes were indeed Pontiacs but a whole different thing.
