Why didn't they just restore it to the X-66 specs? Putting 427 call outs does not make sense. SS COPO? Really?

Berger COPO
Most amount of misinformation I've ever seen about the 40, not 50 Berger cars in 1969. Have had many conversations with Dale Berger over the years about the cars. He had @ 8 cars left in the fall of 69 when I bought mine, and he wanted to sell those before winter came. He never mentioned buying another one from another dealer, and he wasn't a fan of Burnish brown.
