Check if the heater box has the two heater hoses coming straight out of the center of the heater box

The 68 Camaros are really tough to eyeball. Trim tag tells you nothing. The BB cars were more likely to have drum brakes like evrything else and the exhaust mounted by simply screwing into the frame rails. I would check the power steering pump to make sure it is a BB one (note the positioning of the return line). Also take a look at the radiator code on the right side baffle. Regardless, 68's are the worst 1st gens to authenticate.

The 1968 SS/RS that I once had (original BB car) had a different fan shroud than a SB car, heater hoses exiting closer to the center of the heater box, mine had finned drum brakes up front, two piece brake lines with some sort of valve along side one the the sub frame rails and a 12 bolt rear.
Very cool cars; I wish I had never sold mine.

they also dont bring the price of a 67 or 69 so they are usually more affordable and are just as much fun to own good luck

<font color="blue">I agree with the above statement.
Then again, I am partial to '68's. </font>

Sound like a fake to me.As far as I know (and you can correct me if I'm wrong) GM called them CAMARO's not CAMERO's.Steve
