No it just happened to be in a estate sale no one knew about

[/ QUOTE ]

not a true statement, I heard about it just been busy trying to track down just when and where it was to happen. I had a few places that I was told sometime back that they were to auction off a 68 427 car and they told me they dont auction cars when in fact I know they did. Now if it was one of them and I have emails and phone messages from them telling me its not them and it happens to be them what recorse would I have since they lied and i was not allowed to bid

You ever walk into a room with a bunch of drunk people and don't know what's going on? That's how I feel in this thread!

I tell you folks the truth and get hammered on ,someone else comes on here to jerk your chain and you all bite,I think it was at elvis presleys estate auction and they bought it for a $1 everyone else wanted the record junk.Oh and the new owner is going to bore it to a 454 just for kicks he is also going to weld up the outside main cap holes to save on bolts and just use 2 instead of 4, as for the value its worth $10 per 100 lbs in scrap.Yall have a great day and quit being suckers

so....Joey did you tell this guy to go pound sand when he called???

[/ QUOTE ] There is a difference between telling someone to go pound sand and telling them to go pound portland cement premix, plus its alot harder to "pound" as the gravel is a bit hard on the colon

Hey joey, how about I send you a pic of me giving you a thumbs up standing over the engine? The motor does exist, purchased at an estate sale and it runs great. Was in a car, but not the original or even correct model. I'm going over to my buddie's house tomorrow and will get the details.

[/ QUOTE ] You have no recorse because the auction company works for the seller not the buyer. However if this happened Im sure the seller would be interested and would have recorse,But no auction company is going to turn away a serious bidder because thats were there income comes from.

[/ QUOTE ] sure why dont you just do that. I will not be waiting on the pics because im not a sucker but you can still tease the rest of them on here!!! also provide a copy of the auction house sales reciept as there are a few folks who have rare motors in there car and in there shops and a pic is easy but not prof of your story.

LOL oh thats great, I'll do better than that I'll send you one of the vin with my name next to it. I own a vintage drag car collection myself I have no reason to be pulling anyone's chain. Don't go accusing before you know who the person is.
