Default Vintage Speed Shops & Equipment Suppliers

I loved looking at the JC Penny catalogs from the early 70's when I was a kid. Toys, speed equipment and nearly naked women in bra's and panties. It was a smorgesboard of delight for young males LOL

Kidding aside, this is one cool ad.

MY local Napa store had one whole corner of the store devoted to speed equipment. When I was 13-14 I would ride my bike there and stare at the stuff for hours.

Simpler times....

I don't know how I missed this thread.
Very cool ads. I have some of those Allied decals somewhere.

I have an Accell parts cabinet in the basement I bought from the family who ran a local Western Auto shop into the early 80's. It shows some speed parts on a hanging sign inside the cabinet. I have it filled with toys at the moment.

I recently scored some vintage speed decals from an old dude too. Here they are.

A friend of mine has a set of JCPenny A F/X tires. The tread pattern is unique on these. When he got them they were on the back of a 65 Dart. I'd love to have them for my Demon.

BBBenny's COPO was dressed in alot of the JCPenney's stuff in Chicago. He had the catalog and a big framed Penney's ad displayed along with slicks, front runners (Scat Trac), original decals and even an A/FX helmet in the box. Great stuff from the old days.

This dude was 78... I'm 40. He did get down on the floor with me and look through them before we made a deal. He's the original owner of a 79 Trans Am too that he still has tucked away.
