TV Show "Pinks"
What do you guys think of that TV Show Pinks on the Speed Channel? I have only watched it a few times. A friend of mine told me that this summer the show is coming to Summit Motorsports Park, formerly Norwalk Raceway Park, here in Ohio. I guess it takes some big "kahunas" to put up your car title in a race....

Re: TV Show "Pinks"
It truly seems like they gather all the sh.. talking, white trash that they can find, and let them obviously sandbag their cars, and negotiate ridiculous deals for the next race. It has been awhile since I watched it, and was told they do it differently, but I still won't watch it. Then again, it is only my opinion.

Re: TV Show "Pinks"
Heck, I can't rule out all the crap...you need something to watch. I've had to resort to the Food Network on an ocassion and watch Alton Brown, Diners, Drive-ins & Dives and Unwrapped. It's slim pickin's for a MAWG.
Am I the only one?

I agree, Pinks all out is watchable. Not much else on Speed channel is though.

Re: TV Show "Pinks"
Would it be so hard to sometimes show an 1/8th or 1/4 mile time?

Re: TV Show "Pinks"
My favorite episode was the two brothers competing. Those were some serious cars (read wheelstanding) with an 01 SS Camaro and 68 firebird. No real trash talking, cars that were close with a good finish. I always had my doubts if trully the brother was going to lose the car, but I saw it for sale on ebay shortly after the episode.

Dinner's and Dives is my current favorite, Wouldn't you like to try some of that artery clooging crap he samples on the show ?? Pinks....Way to much sandbaging and . But I still watch sometime. I wonder if the loosers are in some way compensated for there car's ? Mike |

Re: TV Show "Pinks"
Pinks all-out is watchable, since it's more of a bracket racing format. If you like junkyard Rustangs or S-10 pickups that have been given a cheap paint job and a used motor that might or might not make it through 5 passes, then the original Pink's might be better.
As with everything that's on TV, it's all about the money. Without the trash talking and the sandbagging, it would be even more boring, since they repeat every show at least a dozen times before shooting new shows.
