I am looking at a set of Z28 418 valve covers. They both have RH stamped on them. Should one be RH and the other LH?

Thanks,
John

The early non dripper valve covers will have the same casting number on both sides. Congrats on finding some. They are getting pretty scarce (and priced accordingly). You can convert a right side to a left side by removing the emblem and cutting out the hole for the oil cap.

Same guy as the ebay listing 'restored' a set for me; I was NOT happy with the results. After his initial inspection and review, I told him to just send them back if they weren't going to come out looking good. He worked on them instead, charging me $20 more than the estimate and they came out so badly that they will probably sit in the box forever. After I told him I was not happy, he said that he was doing me a 'favor', although he did offer to buy them from me for about $75 after expenses. Right. Should have let Jerry M. do them; live and learn. Good luck, BCD.

I have a set that Jerry M. did for me. Awesome work. He might still be able to work yours over.
