I would like to start by saying I am no expert and cannot verify any of the following information with paperwork or documentation as it was not provided to me with my purchase. The goal of posting this information is to tap into the knowledge of the experts in the industry as this motor is a potential piece of musclecar history, the hobby I love.
Tonight I purchased what is believed to be an origninal 36,000 mile Baldwin Motion built 454 LS6 motor. It was purchased from the son of the original owner who lived down the street from Baldwin. The car was rear ended and totaled years ago. The original owner held onto the motor for years and has since passed away, which his son sold the motor. The block has never been decked and still has the factory hone marks on the inside cylinder walls along with perfect standard bore. The original broach marks and straight grain across the deck. The crank is perfect standard forged with no numbers. Original dimple rods and TRW pistons. The camshaft has no numbers I can find. Also came with the windage tray, oil pan and timing cover. Any help in sharing information about what I have would be appreciated in advance. Thanks
Here is what I have for numbers and pictures
