What is this bracket for?

This bracket was on my car. It was bolted to the carb/intake and it was for the throttle cable.

I`m assuming there are no part numbers on the bracket? I would assume that this bracket was installed my the same repair shop that the former owner was using, you know the one with the most invoice`s.
