Is there a difference between the hood hinges from a '68-'72 Nova vs. a '67 Camaro?
Chevrolet says Yes.
1968-75 Nova LH#3926829/RH#3926830.
1967-69 Camaro LH#3910667/RH#3910668.

Not to my knowledge, no change for the extra weight of the hood grilles.

The reason I ask is I'm getting tired of the hood landing on my back. I'm thinking of trying a pair of Camaro SS springs.

Yea, I would change the springs as opposed to the hinges.

Make sure the hinge pivot points are not too well lubed up which people often do. They may also need to be re-pressed. I find this quite a lot of the time. Nothing wrong with the springs, just not enough friction in the hinge pivots.

Most likely my problem. I use motor oil on the pivots.

Ouch! Use some white grease if they are too tight.

I have always used motor oil. White grease doesn't get in and makes more of a mess. Any lube will attract dust.
