Pulls a great wheelie and puts on a great show!
I don't like to bother people when they are on a mission heading to the lanes, but my wife wanted a close up look (well, she know I wanted it!) of Randi's 1967 Firebird so we stopped by, passed on a couple good lucks, and got to check out the car briefly. Great car and owner.

Indy Day 1.... DONE! I am double duty-ing it here at the #USNATS, so although we only had one hit in each class, it was a CRAZY busy day!
Pro Stock Q1: 6.623 @ 206.99 - Sit-in' purdddy in the 3rd spot and we earned 1 little baby point.
Pro Mod went a little heavy on the #WheelsUp with a 7.48 @127.90 which puts her 20th... considering we didn't make a full pass, we are confident we will get it together and crack into the top 16.
Two passes tomorrow and two on Sunday before I drop that clutch in E1 on Monday...

After 3 Pro Modified runs, we sit comfortably (for now) in the field at 11th. Today was HOT, but we made two clean, consistent passes. 5.86 and a 5.85.
Official Qualifying time: 5.851/250.92MPH.
I just got back from the Outlaws racing at Maple Grove...Lizzy Muzi was there as well as Jeff Lutz...great time but 1/8th mile kinda not my style of racing.

Y'all.... usually we aren't feeling positive when we lose first round in ANYTHING, buuuuuut....
With just 16 cars making the field here at the #BIGGO, 14 teams who are race winners did not make the show and we did! We qualified #15 at the end of qualifying and made one heck of a showing in the first round of eliminations tonight at Lucas Oil Raceway.
Here are the #'s...
EE: .015 5.871 @ 248.34
JG: .045 5.797 @ 255.05
I haven't been over to the pit yet to know exactly what happened, but there was quite a bit of white smoke coming out of E's car as she approached the finish line and that may have been the difference.
Good news? We've got 4 rounds to win tomorrow in Ol' Red. That Pro Stock Wally.... I. WANT. IT. This is Indy!

It took way longer than we anticipated, but day 1 of the #MidwestNats is officially in the books for both Pro Mod and Pro Stock.
Here's how it shook out:
PRO MOD:
Q1: The INSANELY cool wheel stand through what seemed like half track was AWESOME, but not enough to get in the show. 17th for now.
Q2: After a LOOOONG session, we are in the field with a stellar 5.819 @ 251.58. Sitting 13th with 12 on the outside looking in.
PRO STOCK:
Q1: 3rd low of the round (1 baby point) 6.565 @ 210.50
Q2: Stole the top spot for a quick second before my teammates stole it back! #RUDE! 6.521 @ 211.10 still sitting 3rd with another extra #Babypoint
Sooooooo.... Cliff's Notes:
Pro Mod - 13th
Pro Stock - 3rd
....until tomorrow St. Louieeeeeee

Y'all!!!! Did you watch on NHRA #AllAccess today? If you didn't, you👏 missed👏 out 👏!!!
We've got a lot going on so let me break it down....
▶️PRO MOD UPDATES◀️
▪️We didn't make it down Q3 and were knocked out of the field.
▪️Q4 ..... THE QUICKEST PRO MODIFIED RUN OF MY CAREER!!!!! 5.752 @ 254.38! This is the quickest RPM: Real Pro Mod field EVER!! This was #yuuuuge for our team!
▪️Qualified #9 and we will face Jeremy Ray first round tomorrow!
**Most importantly...y'all asked for it, we did it! Lashes are officially on the Pro Mod car! Coincidence?!?**
▶️PRO STOCK UPDATES◀️
▪️Q3 We laid down a HUGE 6.508 to snag the top spot away from Jeg... only for him to barely take it back with a 6.49.
▪️This puts us 2 and gives me Charlie Westcott tomorrow morning.
Next time you'll see me.... I'll be in the zone for #Raceday!
Will you be here??

What a happy kid!! Two talented young ladies to be standing next to...who's car was that?
Rachel {sister} is very talented as well...she works on the cars/school and other jobs as
well as driver. Megan in person is a sweetheart...Randy {DAD} was working on the cars late
at night and I asked him to sign a postcard for me. He stopped what his was
doing...washed his hands and then signed the card. I asked him not to go to all that
trouble, but he insisted on it! A great team with many great drivers. Ever see mom at the

Hellooooo, Texas! Goodness, it feels good to be HOME! (well, just up I-45 from home)
We are running both the Pro Mod and Pro Stock car here this weekend and here is how Q1 shook down:
Pro Stock:
▪️We made it down the track .019 behind #1 and ended up #9. Reason #49895698 #ILoveProStock! This field is TIGHT up top, but we will improve on our 6.631 that stuck us just shy of the top half of the field. #1 is a 6.612
Pro Mod:
▪️She tried to rattle on me mid track, but I peddled it and made a full pull. We didn't light the world on fire, but we made it down with a 6.11 which put us 2 spots out of the field in the #18 spot.
...3 more to go, y'all! 😎🏎️

Both classes we ran a little better, but we still didn't send it to the moon.
Pro Stock: 6.615 landed me in the #8 spot, but get this, #1-8 are separated by .016!!! YES, 16 thou! Hell, I ran Alex Laughlin Q2... he ran a 6.613 and he is #5! .002 separates 3 positions. Pro Stock is SO competitive and this #NHRACountdown is naaaasty!
Pro Mod Q2: 5.962/249.58 (Bump is a 5.882) We are optimistic about tomorrow as we think we identified the problem. Pro Mod is tough, but we are coming around!

Good to be back home in Texas and have your Dad at the track.
That's a wrap on qualifying. We ended on a very high note being low of the session and earning three baby points! 6.617 @ 207.88 was fast for the field, but wasn't an improvement on the sheet.
We ended up 5th and will face the other Texas guy, Chris McGaha.

See y'all tomorrow!

Tommy Johnson Jr. powered to the No. 1 qualifying position in Funny Car on Saturday at the 11th annual NHRA Carolina Nationals presented by WIX Filters at zMAX Dragway.
Brittany Force (Top Fuel), Drew Skillman (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also secured No. 1 qualifier positions in their respective categories at the fourth of six playoff events during the 2018 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship.
Johnson Jr., who is looking for his first win of 2018, claimed his second straight No. 1 qualifier and the 17th of his career after going 3.873 seconds at 329.10 mph in his Make-A-Wish Dodge Charger R/T during Saturday’s final qualifying session. It sets up a first-round match-up with Dave Richards for Johnson, who entered the weekend fourth in the points standings and still has visions of making a late charge for the championship.
“We’ve got a really, really good race car right now and the guys are doing such a great job,” Johnson Jr. said. “You can just see it in their confidence. I would say the only thing we have to change is semifinals (where he has lost three of the past four races). We have to fix that this weekend. We’ve had a good car for the last 6-7 races and we just keep building on it.”
Ron Capps finished second in qualifying with a 3.875 at 329.42 in his NAPA Auto Parts Dodge Charger R/T and he will race Dale Creasy Jr. to open eliminations. Points leader and defending world champion Robert Hight, who has two straight wins, qualified No. 7 in his Auto Club Chevrolet Camaro SS with a run of 3.911 at 330.31. He will meet Jack Beckman in the first round of eliminations.

Force, the defending Top Fuel world champion, picked up her second No. 1 qualifier of 2018 and 10th of her career in her Advance Auto Parts/Monster Energy dragster with a run of 3.700 at 330.72 in the final qualifying session on Saturday. The run, which gave Force the No. 1 qualifier spot at both races at zMAX Dragway this season, sets up a first-round match up with Audrey Worm as Force looks to pick up her second win of 2018 and end her year on a strong note.
“We’re looking good going into race day,” Force said. “Our team has really been struggling this year in qualifying and we made some changes with the car the last few weekends. This weekend, I’m really hoping we’re going to turn the corner. We are happy and I have to thank all of my guys. They’ve been working around the clock and I would like to get all of us in the winner’s circle.”
Points leader and Friday’s provisional No. 1 qualifier Steve Torrence, who has won the first three events of the Countdown to the Championship and has eight wins in 2018, will start eliminations from the No. 2 position thanks to his pass of 3.704 at 331.53 in his Capco Contractors dragster. He will meet Chris Karamesines in the first round of eliminations. Clay Millican ended up third after his pass of 3.718 at 321.73 in his Parts Plus/Great Clips dragster, setting up a first-round race against Kyle Wurtzel.
Pro Stock’s Skillman grabbed his seventh career top qualifier and second in 2018 after his run of 6.509 at 211.30 during the final qualifying session on Saturday in his Ray Skillman Auto Group Chevrolet Camaro. Skillman, who is seeking his first win of 2018, will try to become the 10th different Pro Stock winner this season and matches up with Shane Tucker to open eliminations.
“We’re trying our best to finish as strong as we can this year,” said Skillman, who entered the weekend fourth in points. “We didn’t have the best year all year, but the racecar is really coming together at the end of the season when it needs to. We’re going to try to get three more wins this year and this is a great start. We definitely feel very comfortable here.”
Provisional top qualifier and two-time world champion Erica Enders finished second in qualifying with a run of 6.513 at 211.96 in her Melling Performance/Elite Motorsports Camaro. She will race Wally Stroupe in the first round of eliminations, while points leader Tanner Gray, who has seven wins in 2018, qualified third with a run of 6.516 at 212.33 in his Valvoline/Nova Services Camaro, setting up a first-round matchup with Allen Prusiensky.
Defending Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion Krawiec collected his fourth No. 1 qualifier of 2018 and 43rd of his career with his 6.806 at 197.83 from Friday on his Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson. Krawiec, who trailed points leader LE Tonglet by 47 points heading into the weekend, will look for his fifth win of the season and faces Jim Underdahl in the first round of eliminations.
“I was fortunate enough to keep the No. 1 spot,” Krawiec said. “One of my teammates, Chip Ellis, almost knocked me off, but we were able to get it done. Rolling into tomorrow, I think it should be some good racing. It’s definitely going to be a game-changer. You have to be on this weekend and whoever comes out of here going the most rounds is probably going to be the most comfortable in this points battle. It’s do or die time, really.”
Teammate Ellis stayed second after improving to a 6.806 at 196.85 on his Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson on Saturday, setting up a first-round matchup with Joey Gladstone, while points leader Tonglet qualified ninth with a 6.856 at 195.90 on his Nitro Fish Racing Suzuki and will race Angelle Sampey to open eliminations.
Eliminations for the NHRA Carolina Nationals presented by WIX Filters begin at 12 p.m. on Sunday.

Charlotte, oh Charlotte….how I adore you!! We didn’t take all of the #babypoints, but we sure tried. 10 of 12 ain’t too shabby! 👍🏼 We were second low of the round Q1, low in Q2, low in Q3, and second low in Q4. We thought we had it, but Drew skated around us by a few thou and snagged that green hat. #BOOOOO!
This one was a punch in the gut though, because due to Shane Tucker pulling out and the lack of participants at this race, #1 qualifier gets not one, but ✌🏼byes tomorrow. Instead, we get to work for it, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
We’ve got this race car running so well and I am ready to ‘Get up on the wheel and kick all their asses”
Come on #Raceday, I’m ready for ya!!!! What do y’all think about a Charlotte Double-Up!?!?

Steve Torrence won his first career Top Fuel world championship during eliminations on Sunday at the NHRA Toyota Nationals and raced to his 10th victory of the year at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Torrence continued his impressive pace in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship where he has yet to lose a round of racing since the playoffs began. He went on to get his fifth consecutive victory of the year when he bested Leah Pritchett with a run of 3.751-seconds at 326.32 mph in his dragster.
“This is a lifelong goal right here,” said Torrence. “All the glory goes to God, my mom and dad, because without them none of this would be even be possible. Every one of those Capco boys on that race team because they put their heart in it and it is hard to beat people with heart. All the boys back home at Capco, we got it done guys. This is unreal. To all those people who said we couldn’t do it, we are here.”
J.R. Todd (Funny Car), Bo Butner (Pro Stock) and Hector Arana Jr. (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were also winners in their respective categories at the fifth of six playoff events during the 2018 Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship.
In Funny Car, Todd powered to his fifth win of the year in his Toyota Camry when he defeated Matt Hagan in the finals with his winning run of 3.921 at 318.39.
Butner raced to his second Pro Stock win of the year when he defeated Erica Enders with a run of 6.657 at 207.43 in his Chevrolet Camaro.
In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Arana Jr. was the top qualifier for the event and won his third race of the year when he defeated Eddie Krawiec in the finals with a winning run of 6.885 at 193.35.
The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series concludes on Nov. 8-11 at the Auto Club NHRA Finals at the Auto Club Raceway of Pomona.

NHRA Pro Modified owner-driver Mike Janis was afraid he was experiencing deja-vu.
The longtime racer from Lancaster, N.Y., had feared he would leave The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway disappointed, like he did in 2015, when he let the championship slip from his grasp and finished second in the standings.
He said he and his Mike Janis Superchargers / AAP team was “not going to let anybody get in our heads” this weekend as E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series competition loomed at the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Evidently he forgot to include himself. Janis said he ran a continuous audio loop in his head ever since he arrived at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: “It’s going to happen again. It’s going to happen again.”
And Sunday morning, he thought it had. Janis encountered an electrical failure in his supercharged ’69 Chevy Camaro and lost his first-round match-up against Marc Caruso. He said he figured his prediction was coming true “when I saw Caruso run me down and my car just laid over.” Then he had to wait until the quarterfinals to see whether veteran Rickie Smith – who needed only 24 points to overtake him – would pull off a third NHRA Pro Mod title.
Janis was shocked and emotional as he saw Rick Hord power past Smith at the last minute on the quarter-mile. That awarded the championship to Janis. It was his first under NHRA sanction but his third overall, after earning two IHRA Pro Modified crowns.
“It still hasn’t set in,” he said, clutching his trophy. “After losing first round, we were all down, thinking the percentage of taking the championship was going to nothing, with Rickie still in the show. Rickie had Rick Hord beat there for a little while. Right at the end, Hord went by him, and I said, ‘No, it can’t be true.’
“Well, it is,” Janis said. “I just can’t express the happiness. It’s an incredible feeling. I just can’t explain it.
“We had a good car all year. We had a good car when we got here – nice, consistent runs,” Janis, whose tuner is son Mike Janis Jr., said

The NHRA made a slight alteration to the 2019 schedule.

The changes move the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals to after the NHRA Carolina Nationals in order to streamline travel across the country during the Countdown to the Championship -- NHRA’s playoff format.

Pro Stock racer Tanner Gray became the youngest NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world champion by qualifying Saturday at the season ending Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.
During his championship season Gray notched seven victories including securing his first career win at the prestigious Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals win in Indianapolis. In the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship, Gray cemented his first crown with two wins and maintained the points lead throughout the entire playoffs.
“It has been a heck of a year,” Gray stated. “It started out pretty slow and I wasn’t quite sure it would end up here. About midseason we were able to find something, and everything seemed like it started clicking from there. We did so much testing at the beginning of the season and it really paid off. It was like a light flipped and everything started coming together. We had a strong running going there for a little bit and came into the Countdown and executed on race day really well.”

Surprise surprise Past champion Bo Butner returns to NHRA Pro Stock class for 2019
Bo Butner is returning to the NHRA Pro Stock class in 2019.
NHRA's move to 18-race season in the class is part of the decision
NOVEMBER 29, 2018
Bo Butner is staying put after all.
Butner, the 2017 NHRA Mello Yello Series Pro Stock world champion, earlier announced that he was shifting gears and stepping back from the class. However, the NHRA's decision to trim the 2019 Pro Stock schedule from 24 to 18 races changed Butner's mind.
With the support of his family, Butner, 44, will remain committed to competing in the SAM Tech Factory Stock Showdown in his Cobra Jet Mustang.
"I'm a glutton for punishment," Butner said.
When rumblings of 18 races rather than the full 24 for Pro Stock began to surface, it was Butner's mother, Dottie, who began to question the decision to leave the professional-level naturally aspirated factory hot rods behind.
Bo ButnerNHRA NHRA DRIVER BO BUTNER JOINING PRO STOCK EXODUSThe lure of three other drag-racing classes has intrigued reigning NHRA Pro Stock champion Bo Butner. The one-time Competition Eliminator champion and multi-time division champion officially announced ...
"She shocked me and said that maybe we should keep doing this, and I told her I thought it was time to move on; we'd already been successful with the best team out there," said Butner. "But I did say I'd think about it."
Butner went home after the last race of the 2018 season and discussed the idea with his son, JB Butner, the general sales manager of Jim Butner Auto Group in Clarksville, Indiana. JB and his wife, Elizabeth, are expecting a baby in April 2019 -- Butner's first grandchild and one of the leading factors in his initial decision to scale back from a 24-race commitment.
"JB runs the dealership, so it was important to make sure he was on board with it. And of course, when his baby is born in April, I want to be there for that, even if I have to miss a race," said Butner.
True to their roots, Butner's fiancée, Randi Lyn Shipp, will continue to race Stock Eliminator at the national event level, and Butner's participation in the SAM Tech Factory Stock Showdown will take shape as the year goes on.
"The Factory Stock Showdown is a great deal, and I'm looking forward to racing in it. If we have a shot to win that championship, of course we'll take it," said Butner, who has earned multiple division championships and the 2006 Competition Eliminator world title in addition to his Pro Stock championship.
Chevrolet claims NHRA Manufacturers Cup for record 23rd timeNHRA CHEVROLET CLAIMS NHRA MANUFACTURERS CUP FOR RECORD 23RD TIMETanner Gray's NHRA Mello Yello Series Pro Stock class championship in a Chevrolet Camaro SS at Pomona, California, put the icing on the cake for manufacturer Chevrolet, which successfully defended ...
When Butner initially decided to detour from Pro Stock, he said that he would only ever return with KB Racing. He's holding true to his word.
"It tore at my heart to think about something happening to this class or it going away, and that's another reason I wanted to come back. So we sat down and talked with KB Racing on Sunday afternoon in Pomona," said Butner, who has claimed a total of seven Pro Stock wins with the esteemed group since launching his Pro Stock career in Gainesville, Florida, in 2015. "They were supportive, and Ken and Judy Black said that any time I ever wanted to come back, I'm welcome. We're all like a big family."
Summit Racing Chevrolet Camaro driver Greg Anderson, who put KB Racing together with team owner Ken Black in 2002, was elated to learn of Butner's planned return.
"We're excited," said Anderson. "Bo is like family to us, and we've had a great run together the last few years. We've had a lot of fun, and he's a heck of a racer. We hated to see Bo leave the class, and it's great to see him come back -- not just for KB Racing, but for Pro Stock."
Butner will likely remain in the same KB Racing-owned Jerry Haas-built Chevrolet Camaro that he drove last season, and the calls on his car will be made by his crew chief Darrell Herron, along with KB Racing's Tim Freeman. Tyler Hogan, of Hogan's Manifolds, will return, as will Jack Line (Team Summit driver Jason Line's son), as school permits.
"I think everything is going in the right direction with this team. Everyone at KB Racing is pumped up and working hard," said Butner. "I'm excited to get back to it."

FOX Sports and NHRA have announced the release of the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule. Most notably, the 2019 schedule includes additional live coverage on the FOX broadcast network for the NHRA SpringNationals in Houston. The schedule is once again highlighted by live FOX broadcast network coverage of the “Western Swing” (Denver, Sonoma and Seattle) and the iconic U.S. Nationals from Indianapolis on Labor Day.
Joining the NHRA on FOX broadcast team as lead announcer for all 24 NHRA events will be Brian Lohnes, a seasoned NHRA announcer who has served as a contributor over the past three seasons in various capacities. This will be Lohnes’ first year to join the team full-time.
“We’re excited to have Brian Lohnes in this role to help lead the broadcast team into the future,” said Ken Adelson, NHRA chief content officer and executive producer. “Brian has worked at virtually every level of drag racing and has been a valuable member of the NHRA on Fox broadcasts for our first three seasons. We look forward to what Brian can bring to our fans as we continue to grow the fastest, most explosive sport in the world.”
“This is as humbling a professional moment as I’ll ever experience in my life. I have drag racing in my heart and have since I was a little kid,” said Lohnes. “We’re going to have fun and I know the audience will have fun with us.”

NHRA E3 Spark Plugs Pro Mod racer Steve Matusek wasn’t sure what he was going to do after teammate Danny Rowe decided to step away from the sport for 2019. He found his answer in Elite Motorsports, which is making a large leap into Pro Mod, adding Matusek and Elite client Alex Laughlin to their effort for Erica Enders, giving the team three Pro Mod entries in the 2019 campaign.
Matusek, the veteran standout will drive a twin-turbo Ford Mustang from Jerry Bickel Race Cars with Elite, returning to his roots as a Ford racer. “My dad worked at a Ford dealership, my dad ran Fords so those are my roots,” he said. “I loved how you had got be innovative to make their power plants work. So coming full-circle to that, it’s really fulfilling for me; it gets back to my roots.”
Elite Motorsports initially dipped their toes into Pro Mod this year with Enders, and the Pro Stock stalwarts made considerable progress as the season progressed. All three of the Elite Pro Mod entries will run the full, 12-event schedule in 2019, as Laughlin makes his debut in the category, making Matusek the veteran of the group.
Matusek made his NHRA Pro Mod debut in 2011, taking his initial career win in 2017. In a highly competitive category, he has four top-10 season finishes. When Rowe disbanded his team, Matusek believed he wouldn’t be able to compete in 2019, but his connection to Elite Motorsports owner Richard Freeman, on a business level, helped make Matusek change his mind. The driver is the owner of Aeromotive, a company producing fuel systems, accessories and electronics that he started in 1994.
Of his time with Danny Rowe Racing, Matusek said it was “a magical time for us and you never want to see it end. Up until Monday of this week, I was already trying to get used to not scaring myself on a weekly basis, but the way this agreement came together and starting to meet the people on the new team, starting to get an understanding what they’re doing and being innovative, that’s what I love and I hope it’s as fulfilling as the last five years have been with Danny and Val (Rowe).”
Richard Freeeman and Elite Motorsports have much on their collective plate next year. In addition to their core product bringing Pro Stock Chevrolet Camaro race cars to the starting line for two-time champion Erica Enders, five-time Pro Stock titleholder Jeg Coughlin Jr and race winner Alex Laughlin, they’ll have a fourth Camaro for returnee Rodger Brogdon.
For Matusek, they’re building the late-model Ford Mustang from Jerry Bickel Race Cars. “Everybody’s happy, everybody’s excited and everyone speaks highly of each other,” Matusek said of this new partnership. “That helped in some of my decision-making process. To me, the thrill of just driving a Pro Mod is over. I’m not doing this to say I drive a Pro Mod. I want to freaking win races and win a championship!”
On another note...
Two-time NHRA Pro Stock World Champion, Erica Enders announced a contract extension with Melling Performance Thursday at the PRI show. The 2019 NHRA MelloYello Drag Racing Season will mark the third season of the partnership between Elite Motorsports and Melling Performance.
"We feel strongly that our association in Pro Stock has been positive in getting the word out about our Melling Performance parts, Billet Oil Pumps in Particular," boasted Melling. "Engine Parts and Racing is in the Melling DNA and we hope to be involved with NHRA and Elite in some manner for years to come."
Enders will be competing full-time in the Pro Stock category as well as Pro Modified for the span of the 2019 season under the Elite umbrella lead by Richard Freeman.

I agree with you, but will add that in the NE the attendance is still pretty strong. Maple Grove sold out all 3 days!! Even more amazing was that the weather held up for a change, the program stayed on schedule - and the Top 2 kids in each of the 3 age groups were able to make a pass on Sunday afternoon! To be honest, it was most likely due to Haddock's 6 year old kid wanting to make his Jr Dragster debut - but we'll tag along after all of his hoopla!

Dave, What could NHRA possibly have thrown together, so as to try to have something compelling for the fans to get excited about (NOT!!!).
My friends at Hancock & Lane Racing (Div 6 Sportsman) recently contracted with GM to build the first eCOPO all electric Camaro drag car. This car was revealed at SEMA and will have exhibition runs at the Winternationals in two weeks.
They tested last weekend at Phoenix and ran a 10.08......at not full power
As a result of of building this "concept" eCOPO, Lane would up with a NEW 2018 427 COPO Camaro which he will race in Stock Eliminator (I think). Pretty sure this BLACK (painted) gas COPO spent time at Richard Freeman's Shop...but I dont know the details.
If this web site had usable resizng software I would post pics..............

I would love to see an ECopo run in Factory stock. Can you imagine the torque that car has!
NHRA has to do something fast as the ship is sinking in prostock.
They are running mountain motor prostocks at a few races this year.
https://www.nhra.com/news/2019/mountain-motor-pro-stock-compete-four-nhra-national-events-2019
Bring the scoop back!! They need to make the cars tuneable again and make them look like a
real car and the driver must drive more.
Richard Freeman has allot going on at his shop and all the other things that company does.
Del Worsham is back at Kalitta motorsports as a tunner and co crew cheif.
https://www.nhra.com/news/2019/worsham-returns-kalitta-motorsports-global-extends-team-partnership
And...what happen here?
https://www.nhra.com/news/2019/courtney-force-steps-away
Lots of shake ups at NHRA but, nothing that would bring more fans to the stands.
Good luck with your team this year and the new Copo!

Hight powered to the Funny Car win with a run of 3.881 at 329.75 in his Auto Club of Southern California Chevrolet, taking down Jack Beckman.
