I have a Hurst competition plus shifter for my 69 Chevelle it it sits in the middle but when you bolt the top bolt it hits the tunnel any one know what mounting plate would make it work properly http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2016/04/full-1102-42859-imag0709.jpg

Could you shim it with a couple of washers behind the mount, as long as it dosnt affect the rods functioning? I had an aluminum mount on mine without the console and it lined up ok, looks like you have the right mount on yours. Good luck with it

Andy the problem is its sitting to high and hitting the tunnel I was wondering if there's a plate that's a little lower I need to talk to crash any one know how to contact him his PM box is always full

I agree, the opening should be more "Square" than you show. If this was a factory floor pan, I believe it was an automatic originally. IMHO. (for what that's worth)

Is the drivers side of the tunnel bent down that is a 4 speed tunnel for a 4 speed console car

I looked at it again and if the top bolt was a little more forwarded it would work. Crash did you get my email

I tried to send you an E-mail, but it wouldn't go thru, so this is what you got...
The shifter box is correct, the 1st design Hurst shifter needs a little clearance to make it work...
Check the pictures of the difference...
