Where's Mark Bulaw? He needs to take a ride to Mishawaka Indiana to see if this thing is the real deal! He can even go to the Notre Dame game while he's there.

With the early to mid December 1968 VIN there is a chance it could be a small trim tag car.

If that's a clone then someone did a great job.

Looks like a small trim tag in the photo. Red/brown primer on the passenger quarter? Looks very original but who knows how it looks underneath, drivetrain, etc.

Would not have an X code. Should be a Nov. 68 built car.

And, I don't think that is primer. I think it is rust on the quarter. Looks like rust all around the wheel well trim as well.

With no more than that description, I am surprised bidding has eclipsed 30k. Either some one knows more, or there are some shill bids.

"My dad purchased the car in 1976, as far as we know the engine, transmission, rear-end, paint, etc. are all original."

Not much to go on.

I think the seller knows more than he's disclosing. How does he know the rear ratio is 373 and trans is an M21, but can't confirm the engine or trans stamping. Someone needs to inspect the car.

Rear spoiler should be short 67-8 style

No one bought Sammy's fathom green car for $50k, and this rust pile sells for $48k?

Something seems amiss.

It's the "as found" and "barn find" aspect of it. For some reason, people will pay a premium for it.

How does something sold on eBay become a dead link so quickly after sale?

Something is fishy. Doesn't even show up under "competed items".

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 overview
We are pleased to present this completely original 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 for purchase! This Camaro has been in our garage in northern Indiana since 1976. It is ready for restoration. The 1969 Z28 302 DZ may be the most sought after piece from the muscle car generation. Its styling and a unique combination of brake, engine, and exhaust options, the 69 Z28 has stood the test of time. This Z28 is powered by the 302 DZ V8 small-block paired with the Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission with the correct 69 standard Hurst shifter. It was connected with a 12 bolt rear axle with standard 3.73 gears. It also featured 11:1 compression, forged pistons, forged steel crankshaft & connecting rods, solid lifter camshaft, and Holley carburetion on a dual-plane intake manifold.

The styling of the first generation of Camaros is something that has not, and will never go out of style. The Z28 package makes these cars a can’t miss investment (not to mention really damn cool). This is a really cool Z28 in Daytona Yellow with Black Stripe and Black interior. A correct air cleaner and Holley 780 carburetor help complete the look of this Z28. The interior features the original console, original Hurst shifter, original dash cap, original steering wheel, original bucket seats, original radio, and more! This is an excellent example of a completely original and hard to find Camaro which is one of the most lauded muscle cars of all time! These cars are a lot of fun to drive and it’s a car that will never go out of style!

On Oct-11-16 at 19:46:06 PDT, seller added the following information:

Here is some additional information:
My dad purchased the car in 1976, as far as we know the engine, transmission, rear-end, paint, etc. are all original.
I do not have a picture of the cowl tag so I don't know if it's X33, X77, or no code. Unfortunately, we do not have a way to take additional pictures this week.
Engine has not been turned over or run for 40 years and we are not qualified to work on it so we are leaving that to whoever buys the car.
