Hi guys can someone tell me what is the correct pcv valve for 68 z28.

Chevrolet saw it as #6484525
AC saw it as #CV746C.
Both 1968 & 1969 Z/28's came with it.

Original 1969 Chevrolet Parts Counter Book dated 1968.
Are you sure he said CV736C?
1967 Z/28 shows CV726C,1968-69 Z/28 CV746C,so I would think one of those two.

Here's a link some pics of an original Z.
Page 11 shows the CV746 pcv. Though, I think the early originals were machined not stamped.

Here is my as found 746C on my Dec Los Build. I suppose it could have been changed out over the years, as in the Machined -vs- stamped formed versions. As an additional comment or question, Can these things be cosmetically restored via a cold brite zinc plating process w/o detrimental affects to the check valve ball inside?

736 is all 68-69 V8 except 302.

I would think it would be easy to zinc plate them. It is air-tight in construction so with some care to plug the ends with some tight fitting rubber plugs that would prevent any chemicals from getting to the interior. Just to verify, plug one end and connect a mighty-vac to the other end and see if it holds vacuum. If so you are good.
