alternator date code

i have a date code of 0M21 on the alt in my 71 chevelle.is the letter M december? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif the build date of the car is 01C.thanks to all who respond. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Yes
M is December.
Delo-Remy did not use the letter "I" as it resembles the number 1.
O=the year,1970
21=the day of the month.
The Alternator date should preceed the engine build date,when the engine was a single running unit,don't use the Cars overall cowl tag date for this.

thanks mr70,yes the engine code is T1216cpa which is before the alt date code.i was wondering which letter wasnt used and the I makes sense since it does look like a 1.thanks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
