i have a date code of 0M21 on the alt in my 71 chevelle.is the letter M december? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] the build date of the car is 01C.thanks to all who respond. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif[/img]

M is December. Delo-Remy did not use the letter "I" as it resembles the number 1. O=the year,1970 21=the day of the month. The Alternator date should preceed the engine build date,when the engine was a single running unit,don't use the Cars overall cowl tag date for this. |
