Father of the Liberty ship from WWII. Father of employer-funded medical coverage for workers--Kaiser Permanente. The man who triggered the "second gold rush" to California during early WWII when he opened several shipyards in California and Oregon to build said Liberty ships. Remember the mansion on Lake Tahoe that was in the Godfather movie--the mansion where Michael (Pacino) lived? That was the Kaiser mansion, built by Henry J. in the 1940s.

Plus/minus 800HP depending on the boost setting. I told 'em to set the boost at around 9-10, instead of 15-16 until I get this Power Tour trip done. Like I told Charley, my goal is to stay "on" the road, instead of "along side" the road during the PT. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif I think that video run-up was about 725 HP and 710 TQ, if memory serves me. I wasn't trying to make HP so much as I was trying to make unique and over the top...think I made it on both counts. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif There's lots easier ways to make a SB have big HP, but nobody has tried to do it this way. It's nutz, but it might do well at the street rod shows with this crazy contraption. I was nervous about the thing even runnin' there for a while when I saw all the plumbing. Turbo lag is moderate and I love the whistelin' turbo sound.

If you wanna see BIG HP...check out what Charley has done to the "Mule" on the PT. It'll be worth the trouble to get to the PT just to watch his Mule run! I don't know if I was supposed to say anything, but believe me...be sure to check out the Mule if you make it to any leg of the PT! That's where the collector box for the turbo boost tubes manifold. We are "rear" feeding the engine...the LS1 engine allows the intake manifold throttle body to mount front or rear facing. Feeding from the rear allowed us a little more space in the engine room, so we can fit everything and still close the hood on this contraption.

I will get more pictures of the interior tomorrow. It's in good shape for the age, but keep in mind, all original.. 8-track stereo is still in the dash. Stroker motor is being rebuilt as I speak - to specs from another Magazine article on Bill Mitchell in the early 70's.

Current motor is a tired Porsche 356 racing engine out of a German Hillclimb championship car from the mid sixties, and it aint pretty! It is only temporary until the other motor is finished.

Please let me know if you did not get the 9 pictures. I will resend along with more interior pictures.

Did I tell you I got info on the Camaro's history of being parked with 540 miles on it and never seeing a drop of rain,after the Dealership stopped chasing the SS/DA index in 1973??!!! Is that a L78 or L89?? Do I see Alum heads on that engine??also where was it built? NOR or LOS? Would love to see any Docs if you have any as well esp if it was a LOS car

The car is a documented L-78 car with a P-O-P and owner history. I even talk regularly with the original owner and his son. It is a Norwood car built 04C and was street/drag raced early in its life. The original engine was destroyed in the early 70's and now has a late 69 Warranty replacement L-78 CE block with low mile March and May dated 842 L-89 heads. The remainder of the drivetrain is original to the car. All other parts are correctly dated originals. The original owner told me several days ago that except for the spoilers, it looks like the day he bought it. I will be sending in pics and story on the car here shortly.

There's a picture around here somewhere. I gave him my tame Chevelle motor and then found an LT1 for myself. Two beaters, no spotlights.

I'll get more detailed pics after I have a chance to go through my new car. I purchased this 62 Corvette at the Bloomington Gold Corvette show this weekend. This is a 327/340h.p. 4 speed car. Radio delete, hardtop only, and original matching numbers. The car is unrestored with mostly original paint.
