Come and look this weekend, she's shined and polished, waiting for a new adventure! She's been babied - never seen a drop of rain, was my husband's reason to hang out in the garage for a few years.
1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS-5. Astro blue with white top (no vinyl—rare and correct), black interior, bucket seats. Numbers matching, extremely clean, original, slick paint and interior. PS, PB, Auto, Power Windows, AM-FM 8 track. Only restoration so far was parts replacement or enhancement. Original build sheet. Clean, and straight! Spare 454 (425HP) in car now so you can play with it while the orig #’s match waits in storage to run again. Original NOM engine to be sold with the car.
Removed original numbers matching 454. Was smoking (looks like valve seals on heads—compression 135 when removed). Similar 454 built as a spare by local expert with extras. Of course all new high quality parts—crank, bearings, rings, lifters, valves etc. 10.5 to 1 hypereutectic pistons (ARP rod bolts), crane hyd cam, roller rockers, completely balanced. Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley 850 DP carb, Hooker 2” coated headers, All new bolts, chrome where possible. Engine broke-in on Dyno---pulls showed max HP est at 425. All original parts removed that came with original numbers matching 454 included (carb, exh manifold, starter, etc.)
NEW PARTS OR REPLACED PARTS IN ENGINE AND UNDER HOOD
Chrome radiator cover, chrome hi-torque mini-starter
High flow water pump, chrome water neck, chrome timing cover
