------The date codes are correct and I cant imagine, looking at the car, that anyone went searching for a date coded rear, but are these #s correct for a 69 Z???

yes, 3;73 ratio I believe (BU code), stock for a 69 Z

Yep..decodes as a 3:73 posi,May 6th,Detroit Gear & Axle,1st shift,Eaton carrier.
That code was shared on the 66-69 Nova & 68-69 Camaro too.
Check the 4 O'clock pumpkin webbing for a casting date.
