Hey Rusty.
The picture on Page 2 of the JWO article shows the 4 guys holding the 1971 Manufacturers Cup. The guy to the far left is my uncle - Jack Marks. The car on the far left is his 1970 F85 W-31 "made into" a 1971 model. Common practice back in the day was to make the cosmetic changes, if possible, for the next model year. Cooper Chev-Olds was the sponsoring dealership here in Michigan.
Cool..

Boy, that wagon hauled some major butt running 1/4 mile times in the 12s!! Gives new meaning to the term "THE DRAGGIN WAGON"!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

I must say that my friend is a motivated seller. I just checked back and he has dropped his price again. $75K for this car. I have seen it many times and I still cannot get over how clean and well built this car is. Please feel free to drop me a PM if you want. I have nothing vested in this car, just want to make certain that this car goes to a good home. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

This was another wagon I had,
It's back in the states as when I sold it the man who bought it took it to Maui. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif
A Better Trip Than I usually Get.
But I recently heard it came Back to The States, Mainland.
