Seems if it was a Motion car, there would be more Motion "stuff" on it,

Re: 1979 Motion TA

Motion cars were mostly built to customer order. I am sure Joel would have thrown his whole catolog at it if the owner would write a check for it. The owner must have been a Pontiac die hard because many of the Firebirds got a BB Chevy transplant and became RatBirds. Motion was building cars into the early 90s but was not getting as much PR as in the 60s-70s.

I agree with you JoeC
this one is 99.9 % Poncho Power.

For starters Baker built up a vintage
455 H-O Trans-Am engine using port-
matched and polished heads, 9-to-1
forged TRW pistons and a Pontiac Ram
Air III camshaft degreed-in at 4 degrees
advance. The valve train now consists of
Chevrolet adjusting nuts and studs, Pon-
tiac pushrods and .optional 1.65-to-1
rocker arms. In place of stock Pontiac in-
duction components there's an Edel-
brock aluminum manifold supporting a
780-cfm Holley (#3310-2) four-barrel
topped with a Moroso free-flow air cleaner.
