Cranberry Red code 75 on Camaros is a Red, with no hint of Orange tint. Hugger Orange/Monaco Orange are Identical colors. Its like night and day, Cranberry Red vrs.Monaco Orange-Hugger Orange. |
Re: Supercar Registry

Re: Supercar Registry
We have an old corvette Race Car. It is a 1957 corvette, heavily modified to resemble the old Cobras. VIN No. E57S100017. When we bought this car (8 yrs. ago), we discovered that it had a numbers-matching drive train and a 427 engine. Very Fast. This car was featured in VETTE Magazine last year. You can see the full article and photo shoot at "1957 Corvette race car". It was said that this car won National Championships in SOLO racing at Sonoma Raceway (Infineon) in California in the early 1970's. The car is in reasonable race condition, runs strong, has a roll bar and the usual racing setbelts, etc. It was red early on but now is a subtle cream w/blue pearl. The 427 engine was rebuilt in Oklahoma and has the most unusual engine ID number. Anybody know more about this car?? Randy and Ann Scott at. [email protected]

Re: Supercar Registry
I'm confused. There was no 427 in 57.

Re: Supercar Registry
Ricky, I was wondering if that is a pic you showed of the yenko, and who is Mike22, he knows or if he is even Thurmond's son, I'm Frank Costa "Kicker" the cartoon that use to hang on the wall of Thurmond and the kids came from me, it was done by the same guy who did the cartoon that I was to put on the back of the car. I use to take the kids in Florida for a ride in the car for ice cream. The side rear Windows were etched in a circle "in memory of Thurmond Munson Yankees #15" I had that done to the car, it was mine, I never sold it. In a court of law it states that. In fact after Thurmond died, Diana jumped into a plane and flew from Ohio to North Carolina to tell a judge that, and it also states that I would never sell the car to anybody but a Munson ! Please contact me at [email protected] THANK-YOU !

Re: Supercar Registry
If there is mention of your ownership in a court document somewhere there has to be a vin listed somewhere.
|
Re: Supercar Registry
I would think that someone who was such good friends with Thurmon Munson would know how to spell his name!
|
Re: Supercar Registry
Not trying to be disrespectful, but he not only misspells his "friend's" name, but spells it differently throughout the story.

Re: Supercar Registry
Just noticed that the Stinger list is not current or complete.
|
Re: Supercar Registry
somehow that list got removed, then replaced with an older one. Probably my fault. I'll get the correct one sent to Bruce for posting.

Re: Supercar Registry
There are two early double COPOs on that list that are not Yenkos.
Can someone inform us a little about them? 9N579305 and 9N579589 |
send me the form I did send the info on my car years ago 69 Yenko camaro one of the 32 automatic cars still in lacquer. It's on the vin list
|
Charlie, this is Cardiff Tom with the '67 Yenko. I have spent a LOT of time looking everywhere on this site for "Classifieds" with no luck! Can you send me a link?
Also, on the registry it has my car listed as Black in color when in fact it is, and was Deepwater Blue originally, with original Yenko Docs to prove it... |
|
PM'd RayC & Cardiff Tom to get info required for making registry changes. Carleen - PM me for info.
|
I'm sure someone else has already noticed but, the Yenko chevelle with the vin. 408711 occurs twice on the Yenko registry.
Once as a Lemans blue car and once as a Fathom green car ? Double check ? |
Yeah - that car is definitely conflicted. It shows up as LB on the old SYC Yenko sheets, but is clearly FG on the actual (hand written) Yenko inventory sheets. I didn't want to lose the SYC Yenko data point, so kept 2 entries.

The one 69 Yenko Camaro from Bobby Murry Chev (Raleigh, NC) is listed in the Registry as unknown. It was the Feb 2002 feature car on sYc though. Does the 'known' column mean currently known?
https://www.yenko.net/features/2002/February2002.htm thanks |
Thanks for the correction Rob!
The answer to your question is yes, the known column is intended to mean currently known to exist. |
This list is getting really good, now that X Codes have been added also. But there are a lot of cars missing. There are many Known Supercars that are not listed. Hope that more Guys will register their Supercars.
