The "420" code he is referring to is the Inspection Sequence Number found on the IBM card and to my knowledge does not differentiate the car as a 300 post. This code should, however, match between the trim tag and the IBM card. What does differentiate it as a 300 post are the large font numbers (752 3427) typed perpendicular to all of the rest on the left side of the card. The 752 referring to one of the unique-to-300-Chevelle "taxi cab" interiors and the 3427 referring to the 300 post body with its unique characteristics as compared to a Malibu Chevelle.

I have seen Charles`s Monaco Orange Post many times and know it`s full history...I can say that the car has never looked so nice since Charles has owned it. Charles...I hope to see you and your Post Sedan at next years Chevel-Abration....by the way Don Lightfoot cannot make the event next year. So more beer for us to drink. Dan, I hope to make it to the Chevel-Abration. If you don't mind keep me posted on the dates. I wish that I knew about the lunch date at Rockford, I would have sprung for the beer. Next time let me know.
