Power Tour 2012
Here we go......Leaving tomorrow morning at 7:30......We will be travelling with my son Chris (66 Chevelle w built 406), Dave (I'm Rare.... Flamed Pick-up), and Gary (Gwawa 65 Biscayne 454) and driving to Warren, Mi to register....Looking forward to meeting up with old friends and the new ones that will be met along the way.....Great Times with no prior plans.....Just go with the flow....As I think about all the experiences encountered over the last 7 Power Tour years.......It's one of those things that over time just get's more "Important" to do........Meeting and mingling with "True" car guys........Last year at this time, we were in Cocoa Beach for the start, and between me, Craig, Dave, and Charley.....we basically took 1/2 the engine apart in my son Chris's car in the Hotel parking lot chasing a vacuum leak.....LOL......Drove over to the GM repair guy's on Saturday morning and they found the problem within one minute.........LOL.....You can't make this stuff up..........We can laugh about it now, but it was pretty stressful at the time.....
Even when the Nu Yawk car showed up and I was ready to slit my wrist's.........Chris said "Don't worry about it.....just fix it and we will be laughing about the day it showed up while having dinner on the Tour this year......and we will....... The Power Tour is not about the Destination..........It's about the "Journey".........Last year we met Chad Maskrey (He had the DuraMax Twin Turbo Diesel Nova Station Wagon)......he's traveling with us this year along with Charley, Mark Webster, Mark Steilow...........WoW!!!!!! ...........Can't wait till tomorrow.........Anyhow.....Stay tuned for daily pic's and updates.... When you guys get on Westbound M57, look for my 34 Ford Hot-Rod. Black with flames. I'll be sitting in a chair along the route, about 3-4 miles from where you make a left onto M57. Hope to see you all. Have a great trip. If you need anything when you get here, call me at 810-736-5908.

Great day today.....we all ran at a record pace from Brighton to Muskegon.....and one un-named person set a personal best as recorded by his Garmen at 142 mph.........LOL

The Super Bee is owned by a young fellow named Steve that we met a couple of years ago on the Power Tour.....So he has been traveling with us since then....Brian.....No problems at all.........

The last two are of our car sitting at the Pioneer trailer for display of Musclecar systems.A guy I know asked me if I wanted a system put in our car and I said "how much?" He said,free you just have to have it there for display.I think he said he had 1 for sure and possibly another gonna have a system installed.So score for us and win for the company.Oh by the way the system just about blows the windows out if you want it to.

Thats all that I have.We did say hi to Charlie,Ken and Paulette.If you haven't witnessed the Nu-yark survivor find somewhere to go see it as pictures dont do it justice.
No pictures of the Pioneer mobile on the trailer for the ride home.We left the venue at about 6:30 and got about 3 miles down the road going 55mph and all of a sudden the tach went to "0".I thought maybe the tach feed came apart so I pushed on the gas and no acceleration happened.Needless to say this is the second ignition module in less then 400mi.Hopefully we will get to the bottom of this as I have a email in to MSD. All in all a great day. Kendall |

We left Muskegon in the rear view mirror and drove to Lane Automotive for a quick stop......beatuiful weather......drove down to Champaign and the clouds came in along with an afternoon rain shower.....so ....we didn't stay at the park too long.....Went to the Hotel and about an hour later the Sun came out and turned into a beautiful night........here are some pic's
