L78 intake

I have an L78 intake originally from 68 camaro, has repair in 1 bolt area and a damaged bolt hole at thermostat housing.
Any comments, if this is worth trying to repair or should it be discarded?

Re: L78 intake

I think any factory aluminum intake is worth saving. Many not be usable for high end applications but there is likely a home for any usable intake.

I agree - plus I would also add.....that I would much rather have a repaired original over a fake snowflake intake

Re: L78 intake

Saving this intake is a good idea. You can have it welded by a professional
aluminium welder. then depending on the damage threads, you can carefully
re tap the holes.
on the intake bolt holes you can work the extra access weld by a rotary file
If you were close to me I would help you return this intake to almost orig cond
Go for it
