Jack restoration
Can anyone suggest a restoration shop for a bumper jack ? Also what is the correct plating process for the shaft? Silver or goldish? What is the correct color for the mechanism and the stand ,black or gray? 68 Camaro Thanks

Re: Jack restoration
I believe the shaft should be silver cad and the other parts should be gray including the jack handle.

Re: Jack restoration
I did my jack handle in gray, but I think it is supposed to be black.

Is a Nova jack color the same as the camaro? [/ QUOTE ] Normally observed practice that I have seen is: Both silver and yellow cad. shafts. Gray base and mechanism. Black tire iron handle. I believe this is not 100% consistent as I seem to remember the possibility of black bases, but do not have the info handy. I am going to do my shaft in yellow shaft as I believe the silver ones possibly started life off as a very light yellow. Greg |
Re: Jack restoration
the yellow or silver cad on the jack depends on what year the car is
