Was it someone's name or what the dealer was famous for?

It appears that Rod Rimmer was a former rodeo star who owned auto dealership(s) in the Hanford, CA area. That's what I am gleaning from an extensive search on Google.

Lee,

Thanks for the reply and research. I guess I have a dirty mind but I was more thinking of the innuendo it suggests.

LOL!

I thought it referred to some variation of "Hot Rod." :ooo:

It's interesting that the name and location on the frames are different. :dunno:

It is interesting that the dealer name is on the top of one frame and the bottom of the other. I think the plates are that way for the front and the back of the car. Someone here explained why they swapped from top to bottom but I forget the explanation.

Thanks,

Jason
