12-Bolt carrier NOS?
Does anyone have a 1968/9 NOS 12-bolt posi carrier case that they could use to check a few things out for me?
I bought an "NOS" case, but it has an assembly date and paint inspection marks on it....

I saw it done once using a magnaflux station. The stamp was faint, but it was showed up in the photo he took.
It might be worth a try, if you have someone local.

The guy I bought it from welded that stub to it, for a door brace.
It should be easy to remove.
It is not the same as the swing away bracket like I had on my other one.

If you change your mind, I have a 2-bolt June dated standard bore "CE" 512 block and a set of 964 caps, bolts, and sending unit plug.
Also have that shifter nut, if you still need it.

I know of at least three builders who broach cut the caps and use a vibratory method to "seat" the caps to the blocks, prior to honing, so that is not a guarantee.

COPO carrier & gears
3916234 limited slip carrier dated E-26-J and 3916226/3916228 r&p set dated 4-69/5-69. These were removed from a KQ 0612 rear that was not salvageable. The r&p set has passed magnaflux inspection....
