Detonation

After an expensive rebuild of my detonated 327 my builder/machine shop figured out the timing mark on my larger harmonic balancer from a 350 didn't jive with my 327. At TDC the mark was out 14...

The coolant was clean...a straight 50/50 mix. The motor actually hydraulic'd trying to start it. Very weird that both head gaskets went. One was severely compromised. I will try and post some pics.

Coolant in cylinders

We pulled the heads on my 67 Nova SS with a 327 and found coolant in the cylinders. Both headgaskets were toast on my new 700 mile motor. Any ideas as to why this would happen?

Re: Holiday L78 Nova Sale...Back Again!

Great shot of Frank in his one car restoration garage. The last time I was in the garage the outline of the subframe was still on the wall where he leaned it up to paint it.
Tom, lots of luck in the...

Re: ASL company

Mark, my primary interest was in the suspension parts resto esp. the riveting of the ball joints. Hopefully I can find a shop closer to the Westcoast. Thank you for all the info.

Mark,
I spoke with Don and he is only doing the aluminum resto work now. I guess a divorce with the wife getting his equipment caused him to close up shop. Have you heard of anyone who offers...

Re: GAS is $2.50/L in Kingston Ont Canada =11.37/g

Hard to imagine why people across the line(49th Parallel) worry about the price of gas when we pay $4.00 plus here on the Westcoast. There are still lots of humungus Ford F350's and Hummers in town,...

Re: 67 Acadian Sport Deluxe

I spoke with Bob (L79 Registry) and he had these comments on the cars.

"The black 1966 Invader 2 door sedan is perhaps the rarest documented Acadian L79....only 2 options...the L79 and a radio. ...

Re: 67 Acadian Sport Deluxe

I am pretty sure that that Bob (who has the L79 registry) would tell you that there is no such beast an 1967 L79 Acadian. With only 6 or 7 L79 Novas it is unlikely that an Acadian was built. Still...

Re: 1969 SS Nova with 468 Nice Driver

It is hard to imagine the car being worth $10,000. Why the 10 bolt, looks like the interior was butchered. What can't be seen is even scarier. Good luck with the sale.
