Default ASL company

A company called ASL located in Sparks, Nevada used to offer a great service in the restoration A-arms, brakes, carbs, etc to original specs. Does anyone know if someone purchased the equipment and is currently operating a business offering these services? The quality of their work was excellent and it was sad to see them go out of business.
Thanks, John.

I don't know what is going on with Don from ASL fame. He was somewhere out west and then moved to Sparks and then I don't know what the hell happened to him. I bought a nice 67 Corvette smog set-up from him. I would imagine that Bill Hodel knows his whereabouts. This is what I found on him from a quick Google search:
ASL Co. - aluminum casting restoration and repair

Mark,
I spoke with Don and he is only doing the aluminum resto work now. I guess a divorce with the wife getting his equipment caused him to close up shop. Have you heard of anyone who offers similiar services to what he offered?
Thanks, John.

I talked to Don a while back.
He was still doing smog stuff, but only selling it thru Bill Hodel. Hence why I only listed the aluminum repair in the listing above.....

I sent some things out to Don a couple years ago,and he did some really nice work.As good or better then his work 20 years ago.I wouldn't hesitate if you could get a hold of him today, although more exclusive to Bill right now.

Brian Bair @ Bair's Corvette does beautiful A-arm work.

As for carbs, well, this site's own Eric Jackson is second to none.

What kind of brake work are you looking for?

Regards,

Mark

Mark, my primary interest was in the suspension parts resto esp. the riveting of the ball joints. Hopefully I can find a shop closer to the Westcoast. Thank you for all the info.
John.
