I just picked up these SBC valve covers. The both have HL-3455693-P and HR-4455693-P on them. Anyone have an idea what they are for exactly? When I checked out the part numbers it came out to 1969-1981 LT1.
The guy I bought them from said they came off his dad's 1972 Z28. Thanks in advance, Kurt ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think they first appeared in '69 on the 302 in a dull finish, then in '70/'70.5 on the LT-1's in Vettes and Z's. I believe you could get the on all LT-1's or HP 350's through '80 or so.

Push in rubber cap started in 1971. Those are 1970 or earlier.

Push in rubber cap was 1971 ONLY. 1970 and 1972 and later were all the same covers visually but may have carried a different part number on the inside.
