Default 1969 L72 Motor

Recently purchased 68 camaro with a L72 motor in it - has CE stampings on motor and trany how do I figure out the history of this car - motor - etc.

A CEXXXXXXX tells you that this is a replacement engine from GM. It could have been bought through a dealer or put in a car as a warranty replacement. Strange that the CE stamping would be on the transmision as well. Driving that car should put a smile on your face.

Chevelleless after 46 years......but we did find a low mileage, six speed, silver 2005 Corvette. It will just have to do for now.
