You probably already know it's an LA built car. black
standard interior, daytona yellow and a V8. C551 is an
LA only scheduling code. I picked up the last bit from
camaros.org, since I have an LA built '69.

No reason to make a fake... unless it was just a replacement... VN cars have no info on the TT that would warrant a forgery.

There are fake Van Nuys tags out there. To have a more desirable Color or interior is the main reason. This one looks real, but may have been off the car at some time judging by the way the rivets look.

BTW this is a RSZ28, I believe it is a real tt, the car has original paint except where some body work was accomplished, so no need for a color change TT. The car has been off the road since 1980 was partially torn down to restore. Guy who had it started a family, and ran into the typical time, kids, $$ constraints. He had to sell the car to pay taxes. I've been trying to buy it for some time now. I had heard the C551 was a LA scheduling code, anyone know anything about these codes? BTW it's a RSZ28 and with a lot of time and $$ will be nice. Came with a DZ motor, but not the original. Some rust issues will require minor sheet metal replacement. I will soon post pics and show what I am starting with.
