Bear with me for a moment, I need to preface my rant if I may;
So there I was this morning, all set to spend some quality time in front of the `toob with one of the few automotive-related programs I can actually stomach, Hot Rod TV. As I flip over to ESPN2 to watch the program, I find that once again, ESPN2 in their inimitable wisdom has yet again preempted programming (a "new" episode, mind you) for, of all things......a fishing tournament. ![]() Mind you, I have absolutely nothing against fish, fishing, or fishermen for that matter, but ESPN2 has taken preemptive programming to an all new level. "Enough is enough" I say to myself...so I hop over to the ESPN2 website to voice my displeasure with said programing antics. Of course, I was polite and professional, albeit somewhat sarcastic. ![]() Along those lines, I concluded my little email rant with "Dare I ask 'what's coming on next?'...let me guess...left-handed Bulgarian womens blindfolded inverted underwater speed basket weaving?" (that was the most inane make-believe "sport" I could conjur up) Fast-forward to this evening...again I find myself perusing the cable program guide when something..."odd"...catches my eye. I scroll back a few channels to find myself once again on ESPN2, and I honestly could not believe my eyes when I saw the program that was airing... "National Rock Paper Scissors Championships" ![]() ![]() Don't believe me? Check the ESPN Program Guide for yourself. (9:00 p.m.) I'm just waiting for Rod Serling to show up. ![]() |
