Showing the OEM Hood Insulation on a Std Interior Z-28 sure makes my day..........

But now we'll have the argument that 70 Norwood Std Int Camaros didnt receive them......

I see the depression which is longitudinally symmetrical, my question was the presence of the second circular depression, which for lack of a better term appears to be peeking out from the center one????

I see it on the original and on Chucks. May be a question without an answer but..............

Maybe the offcenter depression was for a 6 cyl Air Cleaner.....

To all interested, I helped develop the reproduction molded hood pad. I sold over fifty of them to the members at www.nastyz28.com as well as a few here. I can also supply the correct metal clips for 70 and early 71's or the Round Plastic clips for late 71 (I can give cut-off) forward.

The "experts" on the hood pad subject dont agree completely on which models used the pad. We do agree that the RPO Z27 SS350 & 396 and RPO Z87 Custom Interior received the hood pad.

Randy Mitchell from this site (pictured above has a L.A. built std interior car that he replaced the worn OEM pad with a new one.....and now Charlie's L.A. built std int Z-28 shows the pad.

It would be very interesting to see/hear evidence of a 70+ NORWOOD Camaro Std interior (Non SS) receiving insulation!!!

Please report any FACTUAL info to my below Email, as it was not my intention to turn this thread into a Hood Insulation thread.

Thanks, Chuck [email protected]

If we're allowed to request pic's, a couple more I'd like to see are the lower attaching bolt's for the rear bumper guards, and also one of the gas cap.
