Default OEM Glass Co.

I have all but given up on finding dated replacement clear glass for my 69 Chevelle coupe. OEM glass seems to be a good source in the Midwest for tinted glass. I have seen after market glass that looks very spotted/blotchy in the sun and I'm curious if OEM glass has this problem? I just received my Legendary interior and now I'm in for a penny, in for ANOTHER pound.....

Carzy question but were you wearing polarized sun glasses when you were looking at the glass in the sun. I ask because the polarized glass in sunglasses will give you that bizarre visual effect when looking at auto glass.

Good point, but no. I have seen this problem at indoor events also with no polarized glasses.

------Dale Smith, an old and valued friend of mine, the owner of "OEM Glass", is one of the straightest shooters you will ever find. Over the years I have gotten many, many pieces of glass from him and have never been disappointed. Dale isnt the cheapest glass place you will find but he is hands and feet above many of the others where quality is concerned. Call him and hit him with the hard questions. Tell him I said so!!!.......Bill S

I have purchased from Dale in the past and will in the future. I have a couple of complete sets (one for a Corvette and one for a Camaro) that are clear with no issues (to quote John Ballard).

Regards,

Mark

For over 20 years I have only used OEM Glass for all of my customer restorations, some customers have purchased ther own glass from other vendors and they are discolored, you see the area they polshed off the manufacturer, the logos are not centered just real garbage. Dale has a great product and you will be happy !

Purchased glass from Pilkington a few years ago. Had it installed only to find the dreaded "quench" spots in all of the glass. Glasses or no glasses it shows. Glass is about 75% as thick as original which creates a major problem for fit. Can't wait to get it out and smash it.Junk IMO. I will be calling OEM also.

I haven't ordered anything from them in awhile, but I always considered them the best.Their fit and finish was closer then anything I ever found, compared to original.
Click on their homepage below..

The Il. state tax is well worth it.

Bill, thanks for the contact info. It sure sounds as though Carl and Tom know exactly what I am talking about. The glass I questioned was sold from Minnesota. I will talk to Dale.
